Zonal Hospital at Mandi is one of the Big Hospital with number of facilities. Due to this crowd at Zonal Hospital Mandi is also Huge. Looks like Zonal Hospital Mandi Administration is not very concerned about cleanness & comfort of visitors, & patients. This can be easily seen by inspecting rooms, toilets, washrooms in hospital. Carelessness in Dharmpur Hospital after women's operations was noticed. No beds were available for women's who completed their Family Planning operations by a team of Doctors who came from Mandi Zonal hospital.

Central Bureau of Investigation today furnished a copy of preliminary probe report to Himachal Pradesh High Court regarding the mysterious death of forest guard Hoshiyar Singh in Mandi district in Month of June this year. The Supreme Court on Friday cancelled the engineering degrees of students who earned them through distance learning from three deemed universities after 2005 as per judgement. The students who had their degrees suspended were from the JRN Rajasthan Vidyapeeth in Udaipur, the Institute of Advanced Studies in Education in Rajasthan’s Churu district and the Allahabad Agricultural Institute in Uttar Pradesh. The Times of India reported that a fourth, Vinayaka Mission Research Foundation in Tamil Nadu, is also included in the list.
